Air Drops AD605: RSRA + AD606: UH-1 + AD607: AH-1G/S

AD605 - AD607 feature 3 legendary rotorcraft: the NASA/ARMY RSRA, Huey, and Cobra and come on cards by Ryan Quickfall that perfectly capture the vibe of these aircraft in their element. 

AD605: NASA/ARMY RSRA (Rotor Systems Research Aircraft) S/N 72001 Sheet 1. The RSRA was designed to operate in 3 different configurations: Helicopter, Compound Helicopter, and Fixed-Wing. The aircraft could be modified to operate in either configuration by adding or removing components (engines, rotors, etc). We purchased a lot of surplus RSRA program parts from NASA in 2024. AD605 have been cut from the custom TF34 engine pylons that were flown on 72001 and later briefly on the RSRA/X-Wing S/N 72003. They are aluminum and composite. 

AD606: AH-1G/S Cobra Sheet 1: These Air Drops have been cut from the aluminum tail boom removed from AH-1G (later S) Cobra S/N 66-15318. AH-1G 66-15318 was delivered to the US ARMY in 1967 and arrived in Vietnam in 1968. In October of 1969, while on a Close-Air-Support mission, the aircraft was hit by an RPG, forcing the crew to land. The Cobra was later sling load flown back to base. After returning to the US, “318” was upgraded to an “S” model and arrived at Fort Rucker in 1981 to serve as a flight school aircraft. In 1994, 318 was redesignated an “F” model and served with the Arizona National Guard until May 2001. At the time of its retirement, 66-15318 had logged over 7000 flight hours.

AD607: UH-1 Iroquois FOX 9 Sheet 1. This Air Drop was cut from the fuselage of a screen-used UH-1 "Huey" featured in the 2017 film Kong: Skull Island. The aircraft used the callsign "Fox 9" in the film and was prominently featured and destroyed by Kong. All Air Drops are Green aluminum. Some may feature stenciling and other paint colors.
