Air Drops AD604: SIERRA-B + SOLO Viking 400

In August of 2025 we were on site at NASA Ames tearing down the QSRA. While there representatives for NASA asked us if we would be interested in several of the UAS/UAV aircraft that were done flying - the only requirement being they must be destroyed on-site. That's a win-win - more time crushing things in the excavator plus exclusive NASA material to add to the line-up! 

Air Drops AD604 has been cut from SIERRA-B:

Designed by the U.S Naval Research Laboratory, SIERRA (Sensor Integrated Environmental Remote Research Aircraft) is a medium-class unmanned aerial vehicle capable of remote sensing and atmospheric research and sampling. SIERRA can operate in remote and dangerous environments that preclude the use of manned aircraft. SIERRA can carry 110 pounds of equipment/instruments at a max altitude of 13,000 ft and operate from short and/or unimproved runways.  

AD604 Variants: Sheet 1: Reflective Blue, Sheet 2: Red, Sheet 3: White, Sheet 4: Transponder (gold card)

AD604 Sheet 4 (Transponder) Air Drops are cut from the transponder located in the tail boom. They are a combination of brass and PCB (circuit board) material and come on a gold card. 

The L3 Viking 400 is a Category 3 unmanned aerial vehicle primarily used by the United States Military. In 2014 NASA Ames Research Center acquired 8 aircraft to work in tandem with SIERRA (Sensor Integrated Environmental Remote Research Aircraft). The Viking 400 is capable of remote sensing and atmospheric and aeronautical research, and can operate in dangerous and austere environments not suitable for manned aircraft. Its small size and weight also allow for operations from short and unimproved runways while carrying up to 100 lbs of equipment over 600 miles. 

SOLO VIKING 400 Variants: Grey. A few "CAUTION" Air Drops will be randomly fulfilled that come on a Data Plate card.
