JETs Vol. 25-37 NASA SIERRA-B + Viking 400 UAV

In August of 2025 we were on site at NASA Ames tearing down the QSRA. While there representatives for NASA asked us if we would be interested in several of the UAS/UAV aircraft that were done flying - the only requirement being they must be destroyed on-site. That's a win-win - more time crushing things in the excavator plus exclusive NASA material to add to the line-up! 

JETs Vol. 25-37 has been cut from SIERRA-B and Viking 400 UAVs. 300 JETs are available from each for a total of 600 JETs. 

SIERRA-B:

Designed by the U.S Naval Research Laboratory, SIERRA (Sensor Integrated Environmental Remote Research Aircraft) is a medium-class unmanned aerial vehicle capable of remote sensing and atmospheric research and sampling. SIERRA can operate in remote and dangerous environments that preclude the use of manned aircraft. SIERRA can carry 110 pounds of equipment/instruments at a max altitude of 13,000 ft and operate from short and/or unimproved runways.  

Viking 400

The L3 Viking 400 is a Category 3 unmanned aerial vehicle primarily used by the United States Military. In 2014 NASA Ames Research Center acquired 8 aircraft to work in tandem with SIERRA (Sensor Integrated Environmental Remote Research Aircraft). The Viking 400 is capable of remote sensing and atmospheric and aeronautical research, and can operate in dangerous and austere environments not suitable for manned aircraft. Its small size and weight also allow for operations from short and unimproved runways while carrying up to 100 lbs of equipment over 600 miles. 

6 total JETs variants are offered: SIERRA-B White Carbon Fiber, SIERRA-B White Aluminum, SIERRA B Red (printed), SIERRA-B N701NA, Viking 400 Grey, and Viking 400 CAUTION. 

All SIERRA-B variants have been cut from various airframe and wing pieces/skin. "N701NA" have been cut from the registration/tail number located on the tail boom. 

Viking 400 CAUTION have been cut from CAUTION decals located on the top of the fuselage. 

Note: Viking 400 JETs have been cut from several different Viking 400 UAVs. The number of the specific UAV your JET was cut from will be etched on the tag.
