JETs Vol. 25-28: Concorde, Flight 1

Welcome to Concorde. 

We acquired two Concorde wing parts courtesy of Timeless Aero earlier this year. JETs Vol. 25-28 features JETs cut from a wing leading-edge panel that features exterior white paint and a unique black heated section that was part of the ice protection system. Flight 2, cut from a different part, will be released later. The entire run (all Flights) will be comprised of 500 JETs – Flight 1 is less than half of the total run.

JETs Vol. 25-28 is offered in 3 variants, all featuring different cards and finishes. Unlike most military aircraft, commercial/civil aircraft’s primary mission is to connect places. None was faster than Concorde. Given the unique nature of Concorde and its ability to make the world a smaller place, we wanted to highlight an aspect of aviation that doesn’t get enough attention in our industry: the places/airports these aircraft connect.

Variants:

JFK – Printed JETs featuring all black anti-ice system composite on top of aluminum skin. JFK JETs come on a metropolitan card by James Martin featuring the NYC skyline at dusk and come with a card guard complete with the KJFK airport diagram. A few laser etched JFK JETs were made when we were testing the marking techniques. They turned out nice, but we opted to go with a printed design. The few we made are listed as JFK LE. The picture of this variant depicts the printed version - no photos of these tags are on the listing. 

Heathrow - Laser etched JETs featuring white exterior paint. Heathrow JETs come on a card by James Martin featuring the London skyline and come with a card guard complete with the Heathrow airport diagram.

JFK-LHR – A multi-material laser-etched JET featuring white exterior skin AND black anti-ice composite. These come on a card by James Martin featuring Concorde in cruise and data commemorating G-BOAD’s record setting JFK-LHR flight that took place on 07 Feb 1996.

A Supersonic Set is available that includes one of each variant plus a bonus surprise item.

A JFK/LHR Combo is available that includes a JFK JET and an LHR JET. 

A British Airways commemorative Bones Set is available that comes with a White, Red, and Sapphire Blue 3D printed bone.
