JETs Vol. 25-02 Flight II: F-14A Tomcat BuNo 161869

JETs Vol. 25-02 Flight II features a very limited 50 JETS cut from the same panels we used for our original release, but are offered on a the original BVR Badcat card and feature an all-new color: Yellow. 

Flight II is offered in 3 variants: Dark Blue, Grey, and Yellow.

A handful of JETs from the original release are also back in stock and come on the card from our January 2025 release.

It’s Tomcat time. There is no other jet on the planet that has a larger or more devoted following than the F-14, and it’s one of our favorites to share with you.

Our last F-14 release coincided with the release of Top Gun: Maverick, and the run cut from BuNo 161869 “Splinter” quickly sold out.

We are stoked to bring you a second edition of 161869 with all new colors, and we’ve brought back the stabilizer shape! 

The F-14:

Equipped with long-range AIM-54 Phoenix air-to-air missiles and a cutting-edge Radar Homing and Warning (RHAW) system, the Grumman F-14 Tomcat is a twin-engine, variable-sweep wing, carrier-capable supersonic fighter developed for the U.S. Navy’s Naval Fighter Experimental program.

With a top speed of 1,544 mph, the Tomcat could engage multiple threats from over 90 miles away, serving as the Navy’s premier maritime air superiority fighter, fleet defense interceptor, and tactical reconnaissance platform.

Engineered to counter agile enemy aircraft, anti-ship cruise missiles, and strategic bombers, the Tomcat was a dominant force in the skies, remaining a cornerstone of U.S. Naval Aviation well into the mid-2000s.

The JETs

Vol. 25-02 was cut from F-14A 161869 also known as "Splinter." This jet served with multiple United States Navy squadrons and ended its tenure with NSAWC (Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center, aka TOPGUN). This jet was painted in artic blue camo. Our first release of this jet featured grey and blue paint colors. This new release is offered in Dark Blue, Blue Camo (bi-color), Grey, and Vertical Stabilizer. The Vertical Stabilizer JETs feature full color printed art that matches what was on the jet while it served at NSAWC. Additionally, the Grey and Dark Blue JETs will be available with wings swept or wings spread art. The option to select a wing configuration expires after release day. Future fulfillment will be random. Only 200 total JETs are available, 50 of which are Stabilizers.
