Plane Old Art. Melaine has produced art for us beginning with the AT-38 Talon and recently completed the artwork for the V-22 Series 4 Air Drop.

Bio

Melaine “HALO” Valentin is a United States Air Force Academy Graduate, and F-16 fighter pilot with over 1,300 hours of flight time in U.S. Air Force aircraft. Beyond her impressive military career, she is also the creative force behind “Plane Old Art,” where she channels her passion for aviation into
artwork. Through her work, Melaine has become a sought-after artist, particularly within the aviation and military communities.

As one of just 103 female fighter pilots in the USAF, Melaine is committed to showcasing the strength and resilience of women in this male-dominated field. She is a passionate advocate for representation, inspiring young girls to pursue their dreams in aviation and beyond.

Some of Melaine’s most notable projects include designing the T-7A Redhawk paint scheme for the USAF’s next-generation fighter trainer aircraft, creating the "Into the Sky" aircraft coloring book, and designing numerous patches and illustrations for corporate and military organizations. She is also the creator of the “Fly Like A Girl” patch, worn by female aviators in over 20 countries. Most recently, her work accompanied the Polaris Dawn Female Astronauts on their
mission to space—proving that not even the sky is the limit!
