Hello, Fighters. For this Air Drops release we cherry-picked some of our favorite fighters that we've tagged over the years along with an Air Drop cut from some slick Tomcat hardware.
These 5 Air Drops consist of an all-new F-14 LANTIRN Pod Air Drop (AD313) and 4 additional drops cut from some of our favorite fighters: PAF F-5A, F-14 (Phoenix Rail), F-106A, and F-15A “Killer” (AD314). The F-14 Phoenix Rail and the F-106 have Data Plates up for grabs as well.
AD313 - Air Drops cut from an F-14 Tomcat LANTIRN Pod. LANTIRN (Low Altitude Navigation and Targeting Infrared for Night) was used on the F-15E, F-16, and F-14. LANTIRN equipped aircraft can fly in adverse conditions at low altitudes at night and employ various precision weapons. The Air Force jets used a 2-part system consisting of a navigation and targeting pod. The Tomcat (aka Bombcat) used a single pod. This Air Drop was cut from exterior housing panels that were found at a boneyard. This is a very cool and rare bit Tomcat hardware that we’re stoked to add to the line-up. Due to the complexity and curvature of these panels, not many Drops were cut.
AD314 - Air Drops cut from an inboard wing pylon removed from F-15A 71-0285 aka "Killer." These are all white.
AD313 and AD314 are Series 3 Air Drops, meaning they are part of the 16 Drop Series 3. If you purchased a Series 3 Full Series these 2 will automatically be shipped to you (you do not need to purchase them).
SOLO Air Drops (listed below) are not part of any 16-Drop series.
F-5A Freedom Fighter SOLO - Air Drops cut from a vertical stabilizer removed from Phillipine Air Force F-5A 13323. These are a combination of colors cut from the roundel or solid grey.
F-14 Tomcat AIM-54 Weapons Rail SOLO - Air Drops cut from an AIM-54 Phoenix Weapons rail removed from an F-14 Tomcat. These are all grey.
F-106A Delta Dart Missile Bay Door SOLO - Air Drops cut from a missile bay door removed from an F-106A Delta Dart.
These 5 fighters are available individually or as a 5-Stack (one of each). When purchased as a Stack a bonus Drop will be included in the box for a total of 6 Air Drops. This bonus Air Drop could be anything from our current inventory.
There are no returns on Air Drops.
