The Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird is a Mach 3+ reconnaissance aircraft capable of operating at an altitude of 85,000 ft. The Blackbird was developed from the A-12 – an aircraft built for the US Central Intelligence Agency. The A-12/SR-71 was the first aircraft to be designed with a reduced radar cross-section. This titanium Air Drop was cut from an SR-71 Pie Panel. These panels (or pie plates) are triangular titanium and composite panels that fit together along the outer wings and elevons. A total of 32 SR-71s were built.
Most of these feature one larger Drop (the first image); the other version feature multiple smaller Drops (second image).
All Air Drops come on 3.5" x 2.5" cards cut from .25" acrylic sheet and can be removed from the card.
Fulfillment is random. There are no returns on Air Drops.
